MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN 

Wannon Water is seeking applications from positive and passionate people who are suitably qualified and experienced, or in their final year of an apprenticeship, for the full-time position of Maintenance Electrician. The ideal candidate would relish the opportunity to join an enthusiastic and collaborative team that actively displays the values of Wannon Water.  The successful applicant will be based in Warrnambool, and will undertake electrical work in relation to maintenance, modifications and improvements of electrical assets for water supply and sewerage systems, including treatment facilities.

Knowledge and understanding of radio telemetry, PLC systems and instrumentation are desirable, however qualified electricians wishing to develop their skills in this area would be considered. Applicants with personal qualities of reliability, self motivation and a positive attitude would be a natural fit with the existing team and would find this position rewarding.

Other conditions include a regular rostered day off and access to resources including training and development, tools and equipment.  Flexibility in working hours to meet family commitments can also be considered for the right applicant.

COORDINATOR - NATURAL ASSETS AND WATER RECYCLING

A unique opportunity exists for a motivated and experienced person to take up a senior position within the Operations Branch at Wannon Water, based in Warrnambool.

This role has two functional objectives, which can be performed full time OR as two part-time / job share positions:

Natural Assets

•     The position includes responsibility for the development and implementation of Wannon Water’s Natural Assets and Cultural Heritage Management Plan, which supports our objective to enhance the health of natural capital (water, biodiversity, soil and air) within our region.   

Water Recycling

•     The role also has responsibility for implementing our recycled water program, which includes customer and farm management functions. This supports our ability to provide ongoing value for customers by supplying fit-for-purpose water products utilising the range of water resources within our region. 

Both roles have the responsibility of managing contractors, managing compliance, verbal and written reporting, preparing and presenting training, data analysis and interpretation.

A tertiary qualification in Environmental Engineering or Science, Farm Management (or suitable other equivalent) is mandatory. A minimum of 5 years work experience within the water industry, farm management or natural asset management would be desirable

ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATORY REPORTING OFFICER

A unique opportunity exists for a motivated and experienced person to take up a senior position within the Operations Branch at Wannon Water, based in Warrnambool.

The primary role of the position is to provide assistance in the monitoring and reporting programs of Wannon Water’s Environmental Management System to meet legal, operational, performance and policy objectives.

The incumbent will initiate responses where operational data is non-compliant or identify risks through the formulation of risk assessments and environmental management plans.

The incumbent is also required to provide assistance in the development, implementation, review and ongoing implementation of Wannon Water’s “Integrated Management Systems” components for the Operational branches.

A tertiary qualification in Environmental Engineering or Science is mandatory. A minimum of 5 years work experience within the water industry or natural asset management would be desirable.
