Neil Plummer

As a director with Out of the Box Executive, Neil supports organisations in their strategy development, governance and in navigating the risks and opportunities from climate change and the energy transition.

Previously head of climate services at the Bureau of Meteorology, Neil has worked with water, agriculture, emergency services and other sectors. He has worked on several international projects, including climate services and disaster risk reduction for Pacific islands.

Neil serves on the board of Geelong Sustainability, chairing its Audit, Finance and Risk Committee. He chairs the Technical Advisory Committee of Climate Communications Australia.

He is a graduate member of the AICD, holds master’s degrees in Business Administration and Science, a Graduate Diploma in Computing, Diploma in Meteorology and Bachelor of Science (Maths & Physics).
