Recruitment process
Our recruitment process helps us to get to know you better and for you to learn more about us too!
Apply online via the our careers portal
You’ll be prompted to answer a few simple questions and upload your cover letter and resume.
Here’s a checklist of what you should include:
- Cover letter – Tell us a bit about yourself and how your skills and experience meet the role requirements (as outlined in the position description).
- Resume – Outline your qualifications, education, employment history and skills.
- Referees – We need the names, position titles and phone numbers of at least two professional referees. One of them must be your current supervisor or employer. You can provide this near the end of the decision process if you prefer to keep your application confidential.
Please do not apply by post or phone.
You’ll receive a confirmation email. You can keep track of your application and update your contact details by using your candidate log in.
If you’ve been short-listed, we’ll usually call you within one or two weeks of the closing date to arrange an interview time. If your application was not successful, we’ll send you an email.
Interviews are a chance for us to get to learn more about you and for you to ask us any questions. We aim to keep them as relaxing for you as possible so we conduct them in a conversational style.
We hold most of our interviews at our corporate office and they usually run for 45 minutes to an hour. In certain circumstances, we may agree to conduct an online interview.
You don’t need to wear clothing that’s too formal. Neat business attire is suitable.
Our interview panel is usually made up of three people. It will include someone from the team where the position is based. We strive to have a gender balance at all our interviews.
You can expect some general questions about what prompted you to apply for the position and why you’d like to work for us.
We’ll ask about your experience and skills. We’re keen to find out whether they align with the key responsibilities and duties outlined in the position description.
The final questions are on organisational relationships. These assess areas such as your communication skills, adaptability, ethics and values. This helps us understand how you’ll fit with the team.
At the end of the interview, you’ll have a chance to ask us questions, or clarify anything that might be unclear.
