The Warrnambool Water Treatment Plant just turned 40! We’re celebrating this during National Science Week by opening the plant to the community.
Get a behind-the-scenes look at how water is treated, purified, and made safe for consumption. Our knowledgeable operators will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.
Bring your family and friends along for a fun-filled session of learning and exploration. Gain a deeper appreciation for the importance of clean and sustainable water resources.

Getting there
The Water Treatment Plant is located at 18 Grieve Street, Warrnambool VIC 3280
Important information
Tours will take place in 45-minute blocks for groups of up to 15 people. Minimum age 5 years. Non-slip, closed toe shoes are required. Cameras are allowed.
No backpacks or handbags are permitted for safety and security reasons.
The event may be cancelled at short notice due to adverse weather. If this happens, we will email attendees to advise of the cancellation or you can keep an eye on our Facebook page.
Wannon Water may take photographs and videos of the event and may include your image, recordings of your voice and/or your name (collectively the materials).
Wannon Water may wish to use and reproduce the materials for the following purposes:
