Hamilton Water Treatment Plant project on track

Project update
< 1 min read

Work on the 11-million-litre clear water storage tank at our Hamilton Water Treatment Plant is well underway, with recoating of the inside surface nearly complete and work to replace the roof about to start. While the tank is offline, an adjoining two-million-litre tank is being used as the principal clear water storage for Hamilton, Dunkeld and Tarrington.

Project Manager, Gerry Van Jaarsveldt said the project remains on track for completion in late October.

Weather permitting, we plan to have the large clear water storage tank back in operation soon. But while we still have a smaller capacity tank in use, we continue to encourage local residents to be mindful of their water use and to report any water leaks or burst pipes immediately.
