About
The project designers of the Our Story mural tower art describe it as a culturally welcoming mural.
The mural portrays:
- Kaninda Bijimba who endured 17 years in African refugee camps.
- Dora Adair who escaped “the troubles” in Belfast Ireland.
- Dharshini Suntharam, a Tamil who fled Sri Lanka in 2012.
Project history
The project was initiated by Leadership Great South Coast participants, Amanda Gaudion, Garry Peterson, Delna Plathottam and Jorden Smith as part of their Community Leadership Program in 2017.
The mural was created by Claire Foxton in 2018 and took three weeks to complete.

Warrnambool’s West Water Tower is in Victoria Park Reserve, off Hyland Street in Warrnambool.
