Essential cleaning work on our sewer pipes.
What are we doing?
We’re undertaking essential cleaning work on our sewer pipes at the rear of the rail paddocks in Merrivale Drive.
The work is an important part of making sure our sewerage service continues to remain reliable and efficient,
To avoid any disruptions for the Midfield plant, we need to carry out this work overnight between 15 – 17 January.
Our contractor, CSA Specialised Services, will be removing built-up silt and debris using a non-invasive, trenchless method. This means most of the works will be completed underground from within the existing pipes.
Is there any impact?
The contractor will aim to minimise noise impacts as much as possible, but this can depend on prevailing weather.
Importantly, we don’t expect any service interruptions.
