Warrnambool, Allansford & Koroit

What’s happening?

Our Warrnambool Sewage Treatment Plant services Warrnambool, Allansford and Koroit and is currently operating near the limit of its treatment capacity. We’re embarking on a major major $85 million project to upgrade the plant to meet the needs of housing and economic growth in the region.

What can you do?

You can keep updated with the latest project works on Engage & Explore.

As always, don’t use your toilet as a bin. Pads, tampons, food waste, baby wipes and dead goldfish should go in the rubbish. Flushing them down the toilet wastes valuable water and places more strain on the sewerage system.

What’s the benefit?

The project will be our largest ever single infrastructure project and is designed to meet the needs of housing and economic growth in the region. It will ensure the plant has sufficient capacity for a projected increase in sewage volumes while continuing to protect public health and the environment. It will help secure the region’s future as a popular and attractive region for investment.
